 Frosty Gala-Association Day 2k23!


 Our undivided Dakshina Kannada district is home to several educational institutions that are at the top of our Karnataka state! Students come from faraway places to study in these prestigious and premier educational institutions. Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management is one of such great, prestigious and top-ranking institutes.Sahyadri College on the banks of the Nethravathi River in Adyar, outside Mangalore, is a temple of education providing education to thousands of students. One department of this college is the Department of Information Science & Engineering & CSE (Data Science). Today is the day of our mInDS association of this department! A confluence of several events throughout the day!


Like every year this year the process of appointment of office bearers of the association was held a week earlier. I was a new student in our department last year and didn't know much about the department then. Everything was new, but not this year! This year I was not only as a student of the department but also as an office bearer of the mInDS association! So the responsibility was a little more on me. The pre-preparation meeting for today's program was held a few days before in the presence of department HOD, association faculty coordinator, office bearers and department lecturers and preparations for the program started in full swing. Today has come and gone!
Abhishree Rai, Vice President of United Rubber Industries, an alumni of our department, was the chief guest for today's program. Besides, the main pillar of the college, the principal of the college, Dr. S. S. Injaganeri Sir, Head of Department Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi sir, coordinator of the association Dr. Rithesh Pakkala sir, who is also my mentor were the guests present in stage.In the program, an oath-taking program was held for the office bearers of the association. The new office bearers of the association were given the oath by the head of the department, the president of the association, Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi sir preached. Then the principal wished everyone good luck. Later, Abhishree Rai, the chief guest of the program spoke and shared his knowledge. He also gave advice to the students to get success.

After the formal function, entertainment program was held for some time. After lunch, there was musical performance by "THE MARTIANS" Music Group, a renowned music band fission (orchestra) from Mangalore. Then a cultural program was held by the students of each class of the department.This time the cultural program was not just a cultural program but a competition between classes. Apart from dance, my friend Samarth Shenoy from my class also had his paint art. In just 10 minutes, he beautifully drew his imaginary college life with his sleight of hand! Finally, the lecture dance program was held and it was time to announce the name of the class that won this cultural competition! The name of the winning class was announced by Ankush Anna, treasurer of our mInDS Association. Nothing but a winning class! It was my class! Surprise and happiness for all of us! The award was distributed by Dr.Rithesh Pakkala sir. After the prize, the class students took a group photo with our class teacher Mrs. Harinakshi Madam and we celebrated.


Finally the trending "Byla" program was conducted which students had been waiting for! All the gathered students danced and cheered for many songs!  This byla(DJ) is like giving a treat to students. This is why everyone waits till the end. So today most of the students waited until the end and danced! Overall, the work was very successful as usual and the team and department who worked for it were appreciated.

I am delighted to have the new responsibility of co-ordinator of content writing and social media! I danced with my friends! Every day should start with sunrise and end with sunset. Also every program should start and end. Our program started successfully and ended successfully. I would like to thank the management board of the college and the principal sir, HOD sir for this program. I would especially like to thank my mentor Dr. Rithesh Pakkala sir along with the professor of the department Dr.Navaneeth Bhaskar sir who is guiding to manage the social network account of the department.

I would like to thank you all for always encouraging me, hoping that such programs will be held in the college, which will help the students who are always bored with classes, exams and labs to get refreshed.

ಸಾಧನೆಯ ಪಥದಲ್ಲಿ "ಕೀರ್ತಿ"ಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ "ಪ್ರಸಾದ" "ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಸಿರಿ ಮೊಳಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ" ಎಂಬ ಮಾತು ಬಹುಶಃ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೇಳುವುದು ಇರಬಹುದು. ಇವರು ಕೀರ್ತಿಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಕಲ್ಲೂರಾಯ ಮಧೂರು. ಇನ್ನು 19 ವರ್ಷದ ಚಿರ ಯುವಕ. ವಯಸ್ಸು ಸಣ್ಣದಾದರು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಾಧನೆ ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ!ನಮ್ಮ ಗಡಿನಾಡಿನ ಕಾಸರಗೋಡಿನ ಮಧೂರು ಇವರ ಹುಟ್ಟೂರು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇವರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಯಕ್ಷಾಭಿಮಾನಿಯು ಹೌದು. ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ದೇವರ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮವಾಹಕರಾಗಿಯು ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಇವರು ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಕಡೆ ದೇವರ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಇವರ ನಂಟು: ತನ್ನ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ತೀರ್ಥರೂಪರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಉದಯ ಕಲ್ಲೂರಾಯರಿಂದ ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಕಲಿತ ಇವರು ಕೇವಲ 5ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರೀಟ ಬಾಲ ವೇಷ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ.ನಂತರ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಕಲಾವಿದರು,ಯಕ್ಷಗುರುಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಕೇಶ್ ರೈ ಅಡ್ಕ ಅವರಿಂದ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ನಾಟ್ಯ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುವ ಇವರು ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಬಯಲಾಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ 11ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಷಾಸುರ ಸೇರಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯವರಿಂದ ಹಾಗು ಕಟೀಲು ಮೇಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಘವ ಬಲ್ಲಾಳ್ ಇವರಿಂದ ಮುಮ್ಮೇಳದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹಿಮ್ಮೇಳದ ಚೆಂಡೆ,ಮದ್ದಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಕಡೆ ಯಕ್ಷಮಾತೆಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.  ದೇವರ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮವಾಹಕರಾಗಿ ಇವ

  ನನ್ನ ನೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಗುರುವಿಗೆ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬದ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು! ಇವರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿರಪರಿಚಿತರು, ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಕೌಟ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಗೈಡ್ಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಪುರಸ್ಕಾರ(ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಮಟ್ಟದ)ವರೆಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಗುರುಗಳು, ಸಾಗರದ ಮಧ್ಯದಿ ಮುಳುಗುವ ಹಡಗಿನಂತಾಗಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ಕೌಟ್ಸ್ ಪಯಣವನ್ನು ದಡ ಸೇರಿಸಿದ ಮಹಾನ್ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಇವರು. ಇವರು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ನೆಚ್ಚಿನ "ಭರತ್ ಸರ್" ಭರತ್ ಸರ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯ: ಇವರ ಪೂರ್ಣ ಹೆಸರು ಭರತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಕೆ. ಜುಲೈ 7, 1991ರಂದು ಗೋದಾವರಿ ಹಾಗು ಅಚ್ಯುತ ದಂಪತಿಯ ಎರಡನೇ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರು ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಧೂಳೆಬ್ಬಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ 777 ಚಾರ್ಲಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಕಿರಣ್ ರಾಜ್ ಇವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ತಮ್ಮ. ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಇವರು ಪಾತಿಮಾ ALP ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ ನಾರಂಪಾಡಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಜ್ಞಾನೋದಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ ಮಾನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೈಮರಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಅನ್ನಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ವರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ ಬಳಿಕ ಜನತಾ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಅಡ್ಯನಡ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಾವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದು, ಡಿ. ಎಡ್. ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೈಯದ್ ಮದನಿ ಉಳ್ಳಾಲ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರೈಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ 5 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಬೆಳ್ತಂಗಡಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಓಡಿಲ್ನಾಳದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಉನ್ನತೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶ

  ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಹೀಗೊಂದು ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ!   ಇದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಇಂಜನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು!ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಇದು! ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು-ಮಂಗಳೂರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುವಾಗ ಅಡ್ಯಾರ್ ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿ ಎಡಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡಿದರೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ ಕಾಣಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಜೀವನದಿ,ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ನೇತ್ರಾವತಿ ನದಿಯ ಕಿನಾರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ,ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಇರುವ ಈ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದು ಅಲ್ಲ,ಅದುವೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹ್ಯಾದ್ರಿ ಇಂಜನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಹಾಗು ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್‌ಮೆಂಟ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು! ಸಹ್ಯಾದ್ರಿ ಅರ್ಥಾತ್ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟ! ಈ ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಕ್ಷರಶಃ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟವೇ! ಹೇಗೆ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟ ನಮ್ಮ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲವೋ,ಹಲವು ನದಿಗಳ ಉಗಮ ಸ್ಥಾನವೋ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸಹ್ಯಾದ್ರಿ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಜ್ಞಾನ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ,ಭಾರತದ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ,ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ಪಾದಿಸುವ,ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ವಿದ್ಯಾದೇಗುಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ತನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕಾರಣ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಜನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಇದು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತ ಸ್ಥಳ! ಇಂತಹ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಅದರ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾ
