My Review of the Movie Kalki!

My Review of the Movie Kalki!

.

Today I watched the movie "Kalki 2898 AD," directed by Nag Ashwin, starring Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan, among other renowned actors.

To describe the movie, one shouldn’t expect it to be like the movie "Adipurush." The film initially presents the story of Ashwatthama from the Mahabharata, and then it transitions to the Kaliyuga era with a project called "Project K." The movie follows the mission to save Sumati (the mother who is to give birth to Kalki) and take her to Shambhala, which is said to be Kalki's birthplace. The major scenes include battles with Supreme’s (who can be likened to Kali) commander Manas, Ashwatthama and Bhairava.

Regarding the acting, although Prabhas’ performance was commendable, Amitabh Bachchan's portrayal of Ashwatthama was particularly impressive! Even at his age, he fit the role perfectly, performing action sequences and stunts that truly deserve admiration. Prabhas also did a fantastic job, and some scenes might remind you of the movie "Baahubali"! It’s worth watching in the theater for that experience! Deepika Padukone's role is quite emotional with fewer dialogues but more expressions. Disha Patani plays a minor role as Bhairava’s girlfriend. Kamal Haasan stars as Supreme, and his physical transformation from the beginning to the end of the movie is remarkable. After Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas, the performance I liked the most was by Saswata Chatterjee as Commander Manas. His character's strength and arrogance were evident in his acting. Other actors have also performed well. Nag Ashwin has directed the movie excellently; otherwise, it wouldn't have turned out this well.

The VFX and cinematography are top-notch, creating a visually stunning experience that enhances the futuristic setting and action scenes. The action sequences are spectacular, with high-energy choreography and impressive special effects that make the battles thrilling to watch.

Although there is controversy that the film has disrespected the original characters of Ashwatthama from Mahabharata and Kalki’s mother, it doesn’t distort the true story of Mahabharata. Therefore, I feel it is a movie worth watching in the theater.

If you’re interested in watching Kalki, go and see it at a nearby theater!

My Rating: 9/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
